Denver Climate and Weather
Located a mile above sea level, Denver and it's surrounding cities enjoy over 250 days of bright sunshine a year.
The metro Denver area enjoys the four seasons with Fall characterized by chilly nights and warm afternoons. Golf enthusiasts will be able to to play golf into December. Daytime temperatures will range from 50-70 degrees.
The mountains to the west protect Denver from severe winters and keep it sunny and dry.
Winters are generally mild with an occasional snow storm. Daytime temperatures during the winter which typically begins after Christmas are 30-50 degrees.
Springtime starts in March and residents can expect some of the heaviest snow at this time. Temperatures range between 50-60 degrees during the day and 30-40 during the night. The last freeze of the season usually around May 15th.
Summertime in the Rockies from June to August have weather patterns that start out with plenty of sunshine in the morning then becoming cloudy in the afternoon. Expect scattered thunderstorms in the afternoons. Temperatures will range from 75-95 degrees daytime. Very rarely will you find temperatures over 100 degrees. Low humidity and gentle breezes allow for a lot of enjoyable outdoor activity.
Denver Attractions
Just a ride on the cultural connection trolley will get you to the centrally located Denver Zoo, City Park, Natural History Museum, and the Denver Botanic Gardens.
While in town, enjoy the views from the gold domed Colorad State Capitol located at Broadway and Colfax. Just walk a few blocks west and you can visit the United States Mint at West Colfax and Cherokee. Here you can join guided tours of coin production along with exhibits and displays.
